Dr. Boles
Dr. Boles began his aesthetic and hair transplantation career in 1992when he went to work for Nuhart hair clinic in Pittsburgh, Pa. As he will tell you, “Things were different back then. We were doing scalp reductions and various other hair related procedures. The hair transplant results, although amazing were not as perfect as they are today”. Having started at the dawn of hair transplantation Dr Boles has been part of the evolution that has occurred over the last 25 years. He attended the first meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons in Dallas, TX in 1993 and became board certified in hair transplantation by the American surgery Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Board certification is a two-day process which involves one day of observed clinical skill and another day of testing onthe science and philosophy of hair restoration. In 2004 he began traveling throughout the world opening hair clinics in such places as Mumbai, Dubai, London, Hong Kong, and Manilla. He became one of avery few American physicians to be licensed to practice medicine and surgery in Dubai. In Mumbai, India he performed procedures to many of the actors who were part of the famous “Bollywood” society. He alsopro bono worked on children who had lost hair due to trauma, psychological and medical causes. To date he estimates that he has performed over 10,000 cases which is unmatched by any other hair transplant surgeon. He is skilled at not only transplanting hair to the head but also to the beard area and eyebrows.
His skill also includes understanding and treating hair loss in all ethnicities and gender.Transgender hair replacement has become very popular, and Dr Boles possesses the sensitivity and understanding in these cases. Dr Boles performs two techniques in hair retrieval for hair transplantation. Follicular unit extraction employing the most up to date instrumentation leaving no visible scarring which is preferable for most patients. The second procedure he performs is follicular unit transplant which employees the removal of a thin strip of hair from the doner area, sutures placed with the result being an almost undetectable scar hidden by hair. He is also experienced in nonsurgical hair care which includes medications, platelet rich plasma, vitamins, and laser treatments. He has continued his aesthetic training and treatments which includes the use of botox, dermal fillers and facial threading.
His skill also includes various antiaging therapies as well as men’s sexual health. Dr Boles performs procedures in his offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Gloria Ward
Gloria Ward started her career in 2000 as a certified surgical Technician. Contributing to many teams in various hospital O.Rs. In 2002 Hair transplants became the main focus. Starting with a company called Medical Hair Restoration I began training with world renowned Drs. After 3 years with that company I started to travel around the US as well as abroad, assisting in hair restoration. Settling down for another 6 years with Valley Square Plastic Surgery as the surgical Coordinator. Which included supervision, and running the whole OR from staffing to assisting in all surgical procedures including Hair Restoration. Since then Gloria has expanded in knowledge and continual experience developing into a Hair Transplant Specialist.
Partnering with different Surgery Centers , Clinics, and Salons has opened up a wider range of solutions for hair loss. Educating and creating options for people other than just surgical remedies was important. I am dedicated and determined to help clients achieve their goals in maintaining and or obtaining hair.
